There are many great Halal restaurants with many Halal burgers, so this post will help you create a short must-try list.

This post was originally created in 2017 and was in need of an update given all the changes to the Halal Food Scene in Orlando over the years. So we bring you an updated 2020 version for you to read and enjoy!

1. O’Town Burger N Wings

This restaurant has taken the Halal burger market by storm in Orlando. If you follow me on Instagram, it’s no secret that I love BURGERS! O’Town, offers a fresh, made to order charcoal grilled Angus beef burger that you’ll fall in love with on the first bite. The burger is served on a toasted bun with their special “pink sauce”. A side of shoestring French fries tossed in a spicy salt complements the burger very nicely and make the experience all that more enjoyable. The service is stellar and very friendly. It is about a 20 minute drive from the attraction hub in Orlando, like Universal Studios, but is well worth it. You can expect to pay around $8 USD for the opportunity to delight your taste buds!

Juicy Burger from O’Town will hit the spot for sure.

2. Charcoal Zyka

This restaurant has consistently provided a quality burger for locals and visitors to enjoy over the years. They offer an array of specialty burgers. It was the only Halal restaurant on the list during Orlando’s first Burger Week in 2019. The patty is a generous half pound of premium ground beef that is charcoal grilled and dressed in several elaborate ways for customers to enjoy. Their Inferno burger is popular, if you can stand the heat. As a node to their Indian traditions, they have a Chapli Kabob Burger too. Beyond fries, they also offer mash potatoes or coleslaw as sides. It is in a convenient location close to the airport and tourist attractions, like Sea World, making it easy for visitors from near and far to enjoy a quality sit-down lunch or dinner.

This inferno Burger from Charcoal Zkya is bring the heat!

3. Hot Krust

This fast casual counter service Halal panini shop is located in the heart of the tourist district in Orlando close to I-Drive, Universal Studios and the Orlando Eye. They serve up various made to order sandwich creations and focus on healthier ingredients and options. They have several vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options including the Impossible Burger, a plant based burger.

But I digress!

Their Hot Krust Monster Burger is truly a treat. This beef burger is made fresh to order and is definitely juicy delightful experience. They create a lot of value with their unique menu and combo deals. There is plenty of outdoor seating and free parking. It is located in the Whole Foods plaza off Sandlake if you need a landmark.

4. OMG! (Oh My Gyro)

This family owned spot has more than just New York Style Cart Food. The menu also offers American, Indian and East African Grill Classics.  They proudly offer the Creekstone Farms Black Angus half pound burger freshly grilled with fries and drink. The restaurant is a clean, comfortable and a great spot to meet up with family and friends for a quick bite to eat. Located in Longwood, Florida, just north of Orlando, it is a little bit of a drive for tourists and visitors who spend most of their time around the main attractions in Orlando but is definitely worth the drive. They offer great value for the meal and you can expect to spend around $8 for a cheeseburger and fries combo

5. Slim Orlando’s Phillysteak and Gyro

Slims is a great fast-food option that is convenient, fast and won’t break the bank. It is located near Disney and is a popular tourist destination. While the burger patty is a standard pre-packaged, the way it is cooked on the flat top grill and dressed with a soft toasted bun really elevates it. For around $5 with fries, it is a great value play. There is limited indoor and outdoor seating. Thankfully they are open late and there is plenty of free parking.

A standard burger and fries for the value based visitor.
